...I've got this little give-away situation going on.
Well for starters, I was working on that Dog-bot painting and got way sidetracked and above is the result. I do NOT paint landscapes, which was kind of why I did this. To clear my head a bit before I focus on all the tiny details of one of my major paintings, I was pounding out a few concept shapes. So while my hands were doing their thing (I call this my "callobrating" which is just me making sure my hands and head were in the same space before I start working on something) I saw that I made these two jagged shapes that almost met in the middle and they looked like mountain ranges to me (I compare this to watching clouds where you can kind of see something). So then my curiosity made me expand those shapes into what you see above. I started getting really excited the farther I got into it because, like I said, I don't paint landscapes. It's not that I can't, it's just that I haven't devoted much time into enjoying that portion of painting, which is a real shame now in retrospect. The love and elation I feel while learning to paint or design something new can only be held next to my excitement for trying something new. To be well-rounded as an artist it's good to have a signature style, sure, but you have to step outside your comfort zone and expand your abilities. You can definitely count on seeing more landscapes and world concepts from me in the future and hopefully each will be better than the last.
Also, below is my dog Lance. My girlfriend made an instagram for him and has been bugging me to take more pictures of him. So I he and I put together a patriotic shot just for her. If you're infected by his cuteness, you can check out more of him here.
Thanks all for checking in with me! I'll try to be more and more active in posting for any and all who care to read.
(Also, anyone and everyone can get in contact with me through comments and/or the contact page. So if you want to rail into me with insults or any crazy shenanigans, go for it! I read them all!)
Brandon designs for food and rent. People just started to really like his work so now he does it more. He also apparently likes to type in the third person because he wrote this, about himself. He acknowledges this and look, he's still writing about himself.... typing words like "himself". Not only that, but he also can't spell very well. As humble as it sounds, he had to rewrite that word "apparently" somewhere close to seven times due to some kind of stubborn pride til he eventually gave in and let spell check do it's damn job. And just now, writing it again, he had to eye ball the first one.
